Then generally I will invite you to my workshop or I will come and visit you at your house/office where the piece will be situated.

We  start the design process with pencil sketches getting lots of inspiration from the customer, books, pictures, the web and our surroundings. Once ideas start to take shape, then I commit the design to 3D software on the computer so that the piece can be simulated in the customer’s home or environment and realistic images can be shared in person or on-line screen sharing.

I will also often make full size cardboard mock-ups of the piece or so that we can get a real tactile feel before committing to the commission.
